Meet Jake


My name is Jake, I’m from Leicester, England. I’ve been overweight my whole life, when I was a young kid I had to buy adult sized clothes and it was embarrassing when I had to tell people that. When I was 16+ years old that’s when it hit me because all my friends and family was in loving relationships and I was always single and lonely and at the age of 19 I knew I needed to change if I wanted a normal life. And I got a lot of motivation from my older brother because he was 350+ lbs and lost it all and helped me with my journey. When I joined the gym I failed a couple times with going and eating healthy but I was so determined to lose the weight so I kept going and going until I started seeing results and that’s what pushed me more.. I lost over 100lbs in 1 and half years of working out. And I love the gym and anything fitness now and I wouldn’t change my lifestyle for anything.i love helping people that are in the same situation as I was in because I know how hard it is. Now I’m at my happiest I’ve ever been and now I’m in a relationship for nearly 3 years now and I’m traveling the world and love it. I hear that a lot “I failed a couple times going and eating healthy”.  I don’t think it’s ever a failure as long as you are going in the right direction.  You don’t have to be perfect, it’s about striving to be a little better today than we were the day before.  You are going to have “off” days.  Some times the working out or eating doesn’t happen exactly as we anticipate.  Remember it’s a journey and it’s not an all or nothing.  Creating new healthy habits takes time.  Great job Jake- I’m proud of you.  -Kate
